Rank The Best songs by "Mohineer Ghoraguli"
Published on 19th Feb 2018
Moheener Ghoraguli (translation: Moheen's Horses) was a Bengali independent music group from Kolkata, established in 1975. It is difficult to classify them into a musical genre, as their music drew from wide variety of influences, including the Baul and folk traditions of Indian music and Jazz. Their style of music can be loosely called Jazz Baul. Established in the 1970s during a period of stagnation in Bengali music, when commercial film songs were the dominant market force, the lyrics (and to some extent the compositions) of leader Gautam Chattopadhyay were radically new. They were of a very personal or social nature, similar to the urban folk movement led by Bob Dylan in the 60s. Though they were almost unknown in their time, in recent years they have undergone a critical re-evaluation much like the Velvet Underground. In recognition of this renewed interest, Gautam released a compilation of Mohiner Ghoraguli covers by contemporary artists, Aabaar Bochhor Kuri Pore in 1995. They have since come to be considered an unrecognised pioneers of the jibonmukhi style and ethics, decades ahead of their times. They are sometimes also credited as the pioneers of the flourishing of Bengali bands in the new millennium. This is debatable as their songwriting was strongly rooted in Bengali folk and also American urban folk, while modern Bengali bands like Fossils and Insomnia are influenced by grunge. Their signature song is Prithibita Naki (পৃথিবীটা নাকি), a reflection on how television creates urban alienation. It has been covered by many artists.

Rank the Best Eminem Songs
Published on 4th Feb 2018
Eminem is the best-selling artist of the 2000s in the United States. Throughout his career, he has had 10 number-one albums on the Billboard 200 and five number-one singles on the Billboard Hot 100. With 47.4 million albums sold in the US and 155 million records globally, he is among the world's best-selling artists. Additionally, he is the only artist to have eight albums consecutively debut at No. 1 on the Billboard 200. Rolling Stone ranked him 83rd on its list of 100 Greatest Artists of All Time, calling him the King of Hip Hop. After his debut album Infinite (1996) and then Slim Shady EP (1997), Eminem signed with Dr. Dre's Aftermath Entertainment and subsequently achieved mainstream popularity in 1999 with The Slim Shady LP, which earned him his first Grammy Award for Best Rap Album. His next two releases, 2000's The Marshall Mathers LP and 2002's The Eminem Show, were worldwide successes, with each being certified diamond in U.S. sales, and both winning Best Rap Album Grammy Awards—making Eminem the first artist to win the award for three consecutive LPs. They were followed by Encore in 2004, another critical and commercial success. Eminem went on hiatus after touring in 2005, releasing Relapse in 2009 and Recovery in 2010. Both won Grammy Awards and Recovery was the best-selling album of 2010 worldwide, the second time he had the international best-selling album of the year (after The Eminem Show). Eminem's eighth album, 2013's The Marshall Mathers LP 2, won two Grammy Awards, including Best Rap Album; it expanded his record for the most wins in that category and his Grammy total to 15. In 2017, he released his ninth studio album, Revival. Given Eminem's years of artistic and lyrical accomplishments, it is not surprising that fans disagree which of his works are the best. Here is a list of the most memorable Eminem tracks of all time. Rank them from your most favorite to least and help decide collectively which are the best songs by the rapper in his illustrious career.

Best Asterix Comic Books
Published on 18th Dec 2017
"The Adventures of Asterix" is a beloved French comics series originally written by René Goscinny and illustrated by Albert Uderzo (until Goscinny's death in 1977). The series follows the adventures of Asterix, Obelix and a village of indomitable Gauls as they resist Roman occupation under Julius Caesar in 50 BC. They do so by means of a magic potion brewed by their druid Getafix which temporarily gives them superhuman strength. Many of the stories have Asterix, Obelix, Dogmatix and sometimes Getafix travel to foreign countries, though others are set in and around their village. For most of the series, settings in Gaul and abroad were alternated, with even-numbered volumes being set abroad and odd-numbered volumes being set in Gaul, mostly in the village and the surrounding Roman camps. Asterix continues to be one of the most popular comics in the world and has been translated into over 100 languages! The success of the series has led to 13 films: nine animated, and four live action. There have also been a number of games based on the characters, and a theme park near Paris called Parc Astérix. In 2013, a new team consisting of Jean-Yves Ferri (script) and Didier Conrad (artwork) took over the work of creating and publishing new volumes from Uderzo. As of 2017, 37 volumes have been released and several Asterix films have been converted into books. Which book is your favorite?
