Spain Coach: Julen Lopetegui Spain will be one of the favourites to go all the way in 2018 world cup under new coach Julen Lopetegui who was a surprise appointment back in 2016 after Vicente Del Bosque retired from international coaching role. Spain have been doing pretty well under Lopetegui since he took over and he has been forced to change from that famous 4-3-3 system to more of a 4-5-1 due to lack of quality wingers. Lopetegui do have to improvise with his team selection as the squad is not as talented as it used to be. Spain Schedule of World Cup 2018: Spain got a tough competition this year in group stage. The first team against whom they play opening match are the European champions (Portugal). The other two teams later they face Iran and Morocco. Portugal vs Spain – 15 June 2018 Iran vs Spain – 20 June 2018 Spain vs Morocco – 25 June 2018 Possible Spain 23 Men Squad Confirmed: Spain’s confirmed final 23 man squad is listed below with couple of surprise inclusions in Alvaro Odriozola and Lucas Vazquez as Morata misses out in the final squad.

The veteran Napoli stopper might not play at the finals, but he'll still have a vital role. Reina has long been a dressing-room leader, a man to lift spirits and encourage a togetherness among the squad, previously as understudy to Iker Casillas and now De Gea. Will he play? Is he still capable at the elite level at age 35? Well, his Napoli side are top of Serie A and have conceded only five times this season, and he's the regular starter—so ability won't be an issue. Reina might play if it's a pivotal game that De Gea is unavailable for, but if it's a group-stage dead rubber, he'll likely step aside for the No. 3 to gain experience.
