Tamim Iqbal Khan (Bengali: তামিম ইকবাল খান; born 20 March 1989) is an international Bangladeshi cricketer and former Test captain of the team.Tamim is arguably the best batsman in Bangladesh. Tamim made his One Day International debut in 2007 and played his first Test the following year. A left-handed opening batsman, he is the Bangladeshi's most successful runscorer to date. Between December 2010 and September 2011 he was vice-captain of the national side. Considered as the best ever opening batsman for Bangladesh, Tamim has set up centuries in all three formats of the game and is also the first Bangladeshi to score 10,000 international runs. In 2011 he was named as one of Wisden Cricketers' Almanack's four Cricketers of the Year, and Wisden's Test Player of the Year, becoming just the second Bangladeshi player to be awarded the accolade. He plays first-class cricket for Chittagong Division cricket team. He is the highest individual run scorer for Bangladesh in limited over formats and only Bangladeshi cricketer to score centuries in all three formats of the game. Tamim is also Bangladesh's highest century maker in international matches with 17 centuries, combining all forms of cricket. He is currently the 2nd highest run-scorer for Bangladesh in international cricket,including Test matches, ODIs and T20 internationals. He is the second Bangladeshi cricketer to score 3,000 runs in Tests and 5,000 runs in ODIs and also the first Bangladeshi cricketer to go past 1,000 runs in T20Is. He was classified as an international elite player for the inaugural Caribbean Premier League in 2013.
Darren Michael Bravo (born 6 February 1989 in Santa Cruz, Trinidad) is a West Indian cricketer who plays domestic cricket for Trinidad and Tobago, international cricket for the West Indies in One Day International (ODI) cricket and Test cricket and for Kolkata Knight Riders in the Indian Premier League. A left-handed batsman, his batting style has drawn comparisons with Brian Lara. Bravo is the younger half brother of fellow West Indies cricketer Dwayne Bravo and is the first cousin of former cricketer Brian Lara
Imrul Kayes (Bengali: ইমরুল কায়েস) is a Bangladeshi international cricketer who plays for Khulna Division as a left-hand batsman and occasional wicket-keeper. He made his first-class debut in 2006, playing 15 first-class matches and 16 One Day matches before being called up for the third One Day International between Bangladesh and New Zealand in Chittagong. Batting at number three, he made just 12 runs as Bangladesh lost by 79 runs. He made his Test debut in November 2008, playing the first match of a series in South Africa. He opened the batting on his debut, but made just 10 and 4 in his two innings, being dismissed twice on the second afternoon of the match. He later found form in 2010 scoring 867 runs, becoming the 5th highest runs scorer of the year in ODIs at an average of 32.11. He scored his maiden ODI century against New Zealand. When the Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) announced its list of central contracts in November 2010, Kayes has given a grade B contract. In 2017, in the second test against New Zealand after Mushfiqur Rahim got head injury in the first test, Kayes served as a substitute wicketkeeper and he had 5 dismissals in an innings,which is also the most for any substitute wicketkeeper in an innings of a test and was also the first substitute wicketkeeper to take 5 test catches.
Shoaib Malik (Punjabi, Urdu: شعیب ملک; born 1 February 1982) is a Pakistani cricketer and former captain of the Pakistani side. He made his One-Day International debut in 1999 against the West Indies and his Test debut in 2001 against Bangladesh. On 3 November 2015, he announced his retirement from Test cricket and says his focus is to play in the 2019 Cricket World Cup. Shoaib Malik has taken over 100 ODI wickets, and has a batting average in the mid 30s in both Test and ODI cricket. His bowling action has come under scrutiny (particularly his doosra) but he has had elbow surgery to correct this. Malik was ranked second, behind teammate Shahid Afridi, in the ICC ODI all-rounder rankings in June 2008. In March 2010, Malik received a one-year ban from international cricket from the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB); the ban was overturned two months later. On 13 September 2017, Malik became the highest run–scorer in T20I for Pakistan
Mohammad Saifuddin (born 1 November 1996) is a Bangladeshi first-class cricketer. A Bowling All-rounder, in December 2015 he was named in Bangladesh's squad for the 2016 Under-19 Cricket World Cup. He made his Twenty20 (T20) debut on 13 November 2016 playing for Comilla Victorians in the 2016–17 Bangladesh Premier League. In April 2017, he was named in Bangladesh's Twenty20 International (T20I) squad for their series against Sri Lanka. He made his T20I debut for Bangladesh against Sri Lanka on 4 April 2017. In October 2017, he was named in Bangladesh's One Day International (ODI) squad for their series against South Africa. On 15 October 2017, he made his ODI debut for South Africa against Bangladesh at Kimberley.
Arafat Sunny (born 29 September 1986) is a Bangladeshi first-class cricketer. A left-handed batsman and slow left arm orthodox bowler, he made his debut for Dhaka Division in the 2001–02 season. He currently plays first-class cricket for Dhaka Metropolis, and Twenty20 cricket for the Rangpur Riders.He has the bowling figures of 4/29 and 4/27 against Zimbabwe in consecutive ODIs in the bilateral series in 2014. In 2016, he was selected in Bangladesh's squad for the 2016 ICC World Twenty20. However, he was later suspended from bowling in international cricket due to an illegal action bowled during the tournament.
Hasan Ali (born 7 February 1994) is a Pakistani cricketer. He made his first-class debut for Sialkot in October 2013. He made his international debut for Pakistan in August 2016 in a One Day International (ODI) match.The following summer, he was named in Pakistan's squad for the 2017 ICC Champions Trophy. Pakistan went on to win the tournament with Ali named player of the series after taking thirteen wickets. He is the quickest Pakistani to take 50 wickets in ODIs.
Mohammad "Mabo" Nabi (Pashto: محمد نبي; born 3 March 1985) is a right-handed batsman and off break bowler who plays for Afghanistan, and the captain of Afghanistan Cricket team from 2012 until 2015. Nabi played for the Afghan Cheetahs team which competed in the Faysal Bank Twenty-20 Cup 2011-12 in Pakistan. He also played for Marylebone Cricket Club alongside Hamid Hassan.They played on behalf of MCC for the curtain raiser of the English county season against champion Nottinghamshire on 27–31 March 2011. MCC defeated Nottinghamshire by 174 runs and Hamid Hassan took 7 wickets and Nabi 2 wickets.They also played for the MCC in the Twenty20 side as they took on Nottinghamshire, Durham, Sussex and a select Fly Emirates side, in the Emirates Airline Twenty20 Trophy on 1 April.
Marlon Nathaniel Samuels (born 5 February 1981) is a Jamaican cricketer who plays internationally for the West Indies in all three formats, and a former ODI captain. He is a right-handed middle order batsman and an off-spinner. He was a key member of the West Indies team that won the 2012 ICC World Twenty20 and 2016 ICC World Twenty20, and was named man of the match in the final of both tournaments, becoming first man to achieve the feat. Samuels made his Test debut in Australia in 2000, and his One Day International debut against Sri Lanka in Nairobi during the ICC Knockout Trophy in the same year. In 2013 he was named one of the Wisden cricketers of the year. He was one of the franchise players for the inaugural Caribbean Premier League. In 2016 the West Indies Cricket Board named Samuels as the ODI Player of the Year and the Cricketer of the Year.
Raqibul Hasan (born 8 October 1987) is a Bangladesh international cricketer who also plays for Dhaka Division. He played in the 2006 U-19 Cricket World Cup in Sri Lanka and in 2007 became the first Bangladeshi cricketer to score a triple hundred in first-class cricket when Barisal played Sylhet Division in March 2007. Another notable achievement was a century on his first-class debut, for Bangladesh A against Zimbabwe A in February 2005.
Imran Khan or Imran Khan Jr. is a left-arm medium-fast bowler who plays for Pakistan. Imran made his T20 debut for Peshawar Panthers in the 2014-15 season of the Haier T20 Cup. He was the highest wicket-taker of the tournament, grabbing 12 wickets from 6 games at an average of 12.91 and was adjudged the best bowler of the tournament. Imran hails from Swat District in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province of Pakistan. Before his senior T20 debut for the Panthers, Imran played district cricket for Swat in the Peshawar division of Inter-District Senior Tournament. Imran had a dream senior T20 debut against Lahore Eagles as he took 4/25 and was awarded the man of the match award.
Rashid Khan Arman (Pashto: راشد خان ارمان; born 20 September 1998), commonly known as Rashid Khan, is an Afghan cricketer who represents the national team. Rashid played in the 2017 Indian Premier League for Sunrisers Hyderabad. In June 2017, he took the best bowling figures for an associate nation in a One Day International (ODI) match.
Faheem Ashraf (born 16 January 1994) is a Pakistani international cricketer who represents the national side and plays first-class cricket for Habib Bank Limited. In March 2017, he was named in Pakistan's One Day International (ODI) squad for their series against the West Indies, although he did not play.In April 2017, he was named in Pakistan's ODI squad for the 2017 ICC Champions Trophy. In an ICC Champions Trophy warm-up match against Bangladesh, Ashraf scored 64 runs in Pakistan's two-wicket win. He made his ODI debut for Pakistan against Sri Lanka in the Champions Trophy on 12 June 2017, dismissing Dinesh Chandimal for his first ODI wicket. He made his Twenty20 International (T20I) debut for Pakistan against a World XI in the 2017 Independence Cup on 12 September 2017. On 27 October 2017, he took a hat-trick for Pakistan in the second T20I match against Sri Lanka at the Sheikh Zayed Cricket Stadium, Abu Dhabi helping team seal a series lead and became the first bowler for Pakistan, and sixth player overall, to take a hat-trick in a T20I.
Solomon Farai Mire (born 21 August 1989) is a Zimbabwean cricketer who has represented the Zimbabwe cricket team at international level in Tests and One Day Internationals (ODIs). Known for quick scoring, Mire usually opens the batting in ODIs and is also capable of bowling medium pace. He played for the Melbourne Renegades in the Australian Big Bash League.
Liton Das (Bengali: লিটন দাস) (born 13 October 1994) is a Bangladeshi cricketer. He is a right-handed opening batsman and wicket-keeper. He played for Bangladesh at the Under-19 World Cups in 2012 and 2014. Playing for Rangpur Division in the 2014–15 National Cricket League, he scored five centuries and finished the seven-match season with 1,024 runs at an average of 85.33. Rangpur Division won the championship. In January 2017, he scored his maiden double-century in first-class cricket, playing for East Zone in the 2016–17 Bangladesh Cricket League. As a result of this, he was recalled to Bangladesh's Test squad for their one-off match against India in February 2017. He scored the most runs in the 2016–17 Dhaka Premier Division Cricket League, with 752 in 14 matches.
Rumman Raees (born 18 October 1991) is a Pakistani cricketer who plays for United Bank Limited and the national team. In October 2017, during the 2017–18 Quaid-e-Azam Trophy match between United Bank Limited and Lahore Whites, he took nine wickets for 25 runs in the second innings of the game. These were the second-best figures in first-class cricket in Pakistan. He was selected in Pakistan's squad for the 2016 ICC World Twenty20 tournament, but was dropped due to a knee injury. He made his Twenty20 International (T20I) debut for Pakistan against the West Indies on 27 September 2016. Raees was initially not named in Pakistan's squad for the 2017 ICC Champions Trophy, but was added to the team as a replacement for the injured Wahab Riaz. He made his One Day International (ODI) debut in the semi-final against England on 14 June replacing the injured Mohammad Amir. He took two wickets for 44 runs including England's opener Alex Hales.
Mehedi Hasan Rana (born 1 January 1997, Chandpur) is a first-class cricketer from Bangladesh. In December 2015 he was named in Bangladesh's squad for the 2016 Under-19 Cricket World Cup.
Mehedi Hasan Miraz (born 25 October 1997) is an international Bangladeshi cricketer, who plays Tests and ODIs for Bangladesh. An all-rounder, he is a right-handed batsman and a right-arm off break bowler. In December 2015 he was named as the captain of Bangladesh's squad for the 2016 Under-19 Cricket World Cup. Miraz managed to take his team into semifinal but lost to West Indies. In 3rd place play-off, Bangladesh beat Sri Lanka by 3 wickets. Mehedi Hasan Miraz is named Player of the Tournament for his all round performance. He scored 242 runs and took 12 wickets in 6 matches.
