Andrea Isabel Toscano Ramírez is a Mexican model from Manzanillo who was born on November 17, 1998. She is studying Nutrition and Neurolinguistic Programming at the University of Colima with academic excellence. Her parents divorced when she was 13 and she had to step in and take responsibility of her siblings. At 15, Andrea became an entrepreneur by creating and leading a team of cheerleaders to promote sports in her city. She also started a nutrition project for migrant children to give nutritional education that will improve their health and quality of life. Andrea now works to make her project, called "Nourish a child, feed Mexico" bigger with an app that will help children plan out a healthy lifestyle and create real change in health and nutrition all over the world.
Aldy María Bernard Bonilla is a Dominican model who was born on July 5, 1955 into a political and pioneering family and raised in Laguna Salada, Valverde, one of Dominican Republic's smallest agricultural municipalities. She works with the modelling agency named Ossygeno Models Management and has graced the covers of magazines like Oh! Magazine. She is fluent in both Spanish and English and is an excellent orator with a bachelor’s degree in Mass Communication which she studied while training as an Accountant. She also recently graduated from Escuela Nacional de Locución Profesor Otto Rivera. A self-described multi-tasker, Aldy also developed her own candy-making factory called 'Dulces Dona Ligia' based on her grandmother's secret recipes. Marta Magdalena Stępień is a professional Polish-Canadian model who was born on the 23rd of January 1994 in Warsaw, Poland and raised in Windsor, Ontario. She is a student in her final year of Biomedical Engineering Technology at St. Clair College with a 3.96 GPA. She has a strong interest in Genetics and Immunology, and has worked as an Applied Researcher. She speaks French, Polish, German and English. Marta has a 10 year international modeling career under her belt, and has worked with numerous reputable companies and designers. Her pageant experience allowed her to become a Japanese Tourism Ambassador which allowed her to travel the globe, experiencing different countries such as Poland, Japan, France, England, Germany, South Korea, Switzerland, and Colombia. Any spare time is occupied by her artistic talents, charity work, or a continuous dedication to leading an active lifestyle. Marta is determined to empower young girls from difficult backgrounds similar to her and wants to create free after-school programs, which emphasize technology, robotics, coding and networking.
Catriona Elisa Magnayon Gray (born 6 January 1994) is a Filipino-Australian television host, singer, model, and beauty pageant titleholder who was crowned Miss Universe Philippines 2018 and Miss World Philippines 2016. She represented the Philippines in Miss World 2016 and will also represent the Philippines in Miss Universe 2018 pageant. Gray was born in Cairns, Queensland to a Scottish-born Australian father, Ian Gray, from Fraserburgh, and a Filipino mother, Normita Ragas Magnayon, from Oas, Albay. As a child, Gray spent most of her time participating in various extracurricular activities such as arts, drama, karate, dance, and singing. She was a former student of Trinity Anglican School in Cairns and later earned her Certificate in Music Theory from the Berklee College of Music in Boston, Massachusetts. In addition, she obtained a Certificate in Outdoor Recreation and a black belt in Choi Kwang-Do martial arts. Furthermore, Gray was the lead singer of her school's jazz band, and she also starred in local productions of Miss Saigon. After finishing high school in Australia, she then moved to Manila, Philippines where she worked as a commercial model. Gray is named after her paternal grandmother, Catherine Gray (née Ross), an immigrant to Western Australia from Scotland in 1952. At her national competition, United States Ambassador to the Philippines Sung Kim asked the following: "After the devastating war—Marawi is now on its way to recovery, what will be your message to the young women of Marawi?": Gray: "...My answer and my message to the women is to be strong. As women, we're the head of household and we have amazing influence, not only in our own families, as mothers, sisters and friends, but also in our community. If we can get the women to stay strong and be that image of strength for the children and the people around them, then once the rebuilding is complete and underway, the morale of the community will stay strong and high..." Gray will compete in the Miss Universe 2018 pageant in Thailand where Demi-Leigh Nel-Peters of South Africa will crown her successor at the end of the event. Catriona Elisa Gray is known to spontaneously burst into song, which is most likely due to her love of the arts and her Master Certificate in Music Theory. A great travel buddy and definitely not a "scaredy cat," Catriona is always game for heart racing adventures. Zipline, anyone? This model is openly passionate about her love for Filipino dishes including adobo, balut, and the sweetest mangoes in the world. Catriona is an HIV/AIDS advocate at Love Yourself PH, and volunteers as a Teacher's Assistant to the students of Young Focus NGO. Catriona hopes to make her country proud at this year's Miss Universe competition.
Kiara Liz Ortega Delgado is a Puerto Rican model born on 23rd August 1993 in Rincón. She describes herself as a cheerful, spontaneous, and helpful young woman for whom the most important thing in life is living experiences that teach her about the world and humanity. Kiara hopes to spread a message of hope to unite the world. When she is not modelling, she works for Centro Inés, an organization which provides educational, recreational and support services for children and seniors to help develop a sense of independence, creativity and mastery of skills.
Sarah Rose Summers is an American model who was born on November 4, 1994 in Omaha, Nebraska, and grew up in Papillion in the Omaha–Council Bluffs metropolitan area. At 4 years old, she was hospitalized and diagnosed with idiopathic thrombocytopenic purpura (ITP) but she overcame all difficulties and graduated from Papillion-La Vista South High School, and later earned two degrees cum laude from Texas Christian University in child development and strategic communication, with a minor in business. Summers worked as a certified child life specialist prior to becoming Miss USA. Sarah Rose Summers graduated Cum Laude from Texas Christian University in four years with two separate degrees while working two part-time jobs. After graduating, she completed her clinical rotations and exam to become a Certified Child Life Specialist. When not in scrubs, she could often be found in workout gear teaching pilates or taking a dance party cycling class. An adventure seeker at heart, Sarah Rose keeps herself busy traveling the world, hiking mountains with her dad, and now navigating the NYC Subway. As the first Miss USA from her home state of Nebraska, she speaks frequently about chasing even seemingly unattainable goals. Nehal Chudasama (born, August 22, 1996) is an Indian model, fitness consultant and beauty pageant titleholder. She also works as an emcee. She was crowned Miss Diva - Miss Universe India 2018 and will represent India at the Miss Universe 2018 pageant. Chudasama is the daughter of Naresh Chudasama. She lost her mother at an early age and has a brother named Pranay. She did her schooling at St. Rocks School and has a bachelor's degree from Mumbai's Thakur College. In 2018, she auditioned for the title Femina Miss Gujarat, where she was one of the top 3 finalists. Later, the same year, she participated in Miss Diva 2018 contest and won the title of Miss Universe India 2018. She was crowned by outgoing titleholder Shraddha Shashidhar. Valeria Morales Delgado is a Colombian model who was born on 2nd January 1998 and grew up in Cali. She is the owner of a Professional Models Fashion Academy and a Social Communication student studying Mass Media at Broward College in Miami, United States. Valeria would best describe herself as a strong woman who enjoys meeting people around the world while working as a model. She thinks education is the key for success and works hard to support her mother and act as a role model for her little sister. As an immigrant, Valeria started a campaign to promote tolerance and respect around the world. If she takes home the crown, she hopes to encourage education for all.
Selma Carlicia Kamanya (born 1996 in Windhoek) is a Namibian model and beauty pageant titleholder who won Miss Namibia 2018 on July 7, 2018. She will now represent Namibia at Miss Universe 2018 pageant. Kamanya lives in Windhoek, Namibia. She holds a Diploma in Economics and is studying for a degree at the Namibia University of Science and Technology (NUST). Kamanya was crowned as Miss Namibia 2018 pageant on 7 July 2018 at the Windhoek Country Club. She succeeded outgoing Miss Namibia 2017 Suné January. Kamanya will now represent Namibia at Miss Universe 2018 pageant. Selma Kamanya is a 21 year old, third year student currently pursuing her bachelor's degree in Economics. Virginia Limongi is an Ecuadorian model born in Portoviejo, a small town in the Manabí Province at the coast of Ecuador on 11th January 1994. She is the second child of seven siblings and very early on she developed a love for animals, especially for cats, so much that she adopted four cats without telling her parents. Virginia has a spirit of adventure because she is always seeking to learn new cultures, languages and tradition. Her passion for travel began when she was only 17, when she lived in Germany for a year. She is currently studying nutrition and hopes to make her country proud at this year's Miss Universe competition.
Angela Ponce Camacho (born 18 January 1991) is a Spanish model and beauty pageant titleholder who won Miss Spain 2018. Ponce made history on June 29, 2018, as she is the first transgender woman to ever crowned Miss Spain. She will represent her country at Miss Universe 2018, where she will be the first transgender contestant competing for the title. She was previously crowned Miss World Cadiz 2015 but was unable to place at Miss Spain that year. Ponce entered and won the Miss World Cadiz 2015 title. Since she won that title, she represented Cadiz at the 2015 edition of the Miss Spain pageant. At that pageant, she was unplaced. On June 29, 2018, Ponce competed at the Miss Spain 2018 pageant and won the title, becoming the first transwoman to win the title. She will represent Spain at the 2018 Miss Universe pageant. Angela Ponce has dedicate her efforts towards the empowerment of young women and families to be proud of who they are. She campaigns to promote gender diversity and equality. Angela is also the first transgender woman ever to be crowned Miss Universe Spain. If she takes home the crown, she wants to want to spread tolerance and respect towards oneself and others globally. Francesca Mifsud was born on July 19, 1996 in Zejtun on the islands of Malta. Since she was a young girl, she aspired to become a lawyer. In fact, she just obtained a degree in Law from the University of Malta and is pursuing her Master's in Law with the goal of becoming a Criminal Prosecutor. She is a very athletic person with 2 years of Muay Thai experience and 12 years experience in Basketball - achieving 2 FIBA silver medals. She is an avid traveller has visited 23 different countries allowing her to experience different cuisines and cultures. Francesca is a middle child and considers her two sisters as her biggest supporters together with her parents. Francesca would like to raise awareness about sexual violence with her campaign 'Stand Up' which helps victims persevere against sexual harassment.
Manita Devkota is a Nepalese model born in 1995 in Gorkha, Nepal. Although she spent most of her childhood in Gorkha, Manita currently lives in North Carolina, USA to pursue higher education and opportunities. She has completed her Public Health Degree from East Carolina University in Greenville, North Carolina where she has been on the Dean's list for seven semesters straight. Manita is an advocate for girls' education, public health, and women empowerment and is an Ambassador of Women's Health for Days for Girls International and She’s the First Foundation. She is working to change the stigmas and obstacles that menstruating women and girls face in Nepal. In her free time, Manita enjoys cooking Asian cuisines, traveling the world, hiking, and reading novels. She aspires to be an Attorney to help women in regards to health and women's rights. If she takes home the crown, she hopes to use her degree to provide health education, and advocate for children's nutrition and maternal health.
Ana Liliana Aviao is an Angolan model who was born 25 August 1994 and raised in The Netherlands. She is currently finalizing her bachelor's degree in International Business and Management. She aims to use her degree to become an entrepreneur and inspire others to do the same. She is currently the co-founder of an NGO that connects Angolan small businesses with Dutch investors. In her spare time, Ana enjoys meditating, and traveling.
Trejsi Sejdini was born in Elbasan on May 30, 2000. With her mother as her role model, she grew up studying math and physics and has always loved reading books. She has also worked as a model for various labels such as Gang gang by Fero and Jealousy by Mozzik in Albania.
Agustina Belen Pivowarchuk is an Argentine model who was born on September 8, 1996. Although she initially started university 4 years ago with Business Administration, she realized after her first year that her passion was Health and Nutrition which is why she switched her major. When she isn't learning about healthy foods and proper eating habits, she takes acting lessons. She was also always passionate about dancing from a very early age.
Eliza Muradyan is an Armenian-Russian model who was born in in Yerevan, Armenia in 1993 and will become the first ever Armenian entrant in Miss Universe. She graduated from the First Medical University of Moscow and moved to her hometown where she started an evening dress rental business. She wants to inspire the women of Armenia to achieve success in different spheres of life because many of them still do not have the right to choose their destiny.
Kimberly Orline Julsing is a German-Aruban model who was born on 24 April 1998 but lives in Daimari, Aruba. She is currently in her second year of nursing school at E.P.I Health & Service. Her true passion is working with the elders but she would also love to inspire parents and caregivers to pay more attention to their kids by spending quality time with them and allowing them to nurture their own talents. "Confidence is not 'They will like me.' Confidence is 'I'll be fine if they don't.'" is a quote that Kimberly holds dear to her heart.
Francesca Hung is a Chinese-Australian actress and model who was born in 25 April 1994 to a Chinese-Australian father and an Irish-Australian mother. Hung lives in Sydney, Australia and hails from the Northern Beaches of New South Wales. She has pursued her career as a model while studying for a Masters in Publishing at the University of Sydney after completing an undergraduate degree in Arts and Sociology. Francesca is the first Eurasian Miss Universe Australia, and wants to use her title to inspire multicultural children. In her spare time, Francesca loves to cook, exercise, play the piano, practice ballet and boxing and learn the Italian language.
Danielle Simone Grant is a professional dancer having studied ballet, pointe, jazz and salsa since she was only three years old. She graduated Summa Cum Laude from Johnson & Wales University. Danielle is also a pianist with over 13 years of experience and an advocate for animal rights in The Bahamas. She plans to use her experience as a volunteer with the Humane Society and BAARK to form a non-profit that promotes the involvement of animals in schools, children's disability centers, hospitals, rehabilitation centers and homes for the elderly worldwide.
Meghan Theobalds had an international upbringing having spent her early years in Barbados, but later living in Canada and France in her young 26 years. She graduated with a Bachelor of Management and Organizational Studies with a Specialization in Consumer Behaviour and a Major in French. Meghan's mother battled breast cancer twice and Meghan has learned about resilience under adversity from her mother. She is passionate about gender equality and aims to use her voice and passion to climb the corporate ladder beyond the glass ceiling so that she can help other women also ascend to claim their own seat at the table. If awarded the crown, she will use this platform to continue her work globally with I Am A Girl Barbados, encouraging young women to constantly seek knowledge and to strive for their dreams even in the face of opposition.
Zoë Brunet graduated with a degree in Accountancy and has always made education her top priority. Having danced through her youth, she won a modelling contest when she was 14 and for Zoë, winning that contest changed her life forever. As someone who was shy during her childhood, the experience taught her to be independent and strong. Next year, Zoë will study marketing in order to open her own company. Zoë is interested in health, sports, nature and the environment, and she wants to raise awareness about violence and abuse against women.
Jenelli Fraser (born July 7, 1991) is a Belizean model and beauty pageant titleholder who was crowned Miss Universe Belize 2018.[1] As Miss Universe Belize, she will represent Belize at Miss Universe 2018. In the months leading up to the pageant, Fraser says that it was "very difficult" to enter the pageant, due to financial issues. In an interview with LOVE FM, she said: "...I had to change how my perception to things as well as I had to be health conscious and that means I had to exercise, eat healthy..." On August 25, 2018, Fraser was crowned Miss Universe Belize 2018 by outgoing titleholder Rebecca Rath. Jenelli Shanice Fraser sees herself as the dictionary definition of a true Creole, a Pataki-full of Mexican, Grenadian, African and British heritage. The spirituality and strength of her mother, coupled with her father's legacy and determination of setting local and international track and field records for Belize, have instilled good moral values into her and made her into a confidently beautiful woman today. Jenelli pursued an undergraduate degree in the Arts, General Studies with a Major in Psychology. She then became a member of the Youth Apprenticeship Program, where she was given the opportunity to work with the Ministry of National Security, as one of the few women volunteer Scenes of Crime personnel, attached to the Belize Police Department. She has acquired a certificate of completion in Clandestine Laboratory and Chemical Diversion Investigators by the U.S. Embassy in Belize and is a member of the International Crime Scene Investigators Association. She then enrolled in the Undergraduate Certificate Program for Criminology at the University of the West Indies. Jenelli's dream is to acquire a graduate degree or higher in Forensic Psychology, and be the first woman of Belize with such title. She has a love for the Creative Arts. Taught by the world-renowned Cuban musician, Carlos Perrote, she learnt several instruments including the piano, the recorder, and her favorite the steel pan, which is a popular Caribbean instrument. That zeal for music led her to become a dancer for several years with the Belize National Dance Company. Jenelli has a drive and passion for community service. She is changing the concept for industry standards of pageant girls, which she feels is her strength and sets her apart from the rest. Having become health conscious, she likes to think of herself as being a role model for other beautiful women and men, no matter size, ethnicity, religion or sexual orientation.
Marian Joyce Prado Rivera was born in 1997 and grew up in the city of Santa Cruz de la Sierra-Bolivia. She was raised in Chiquitania and is now is in her third year studying Odontology at Udabol University. Joyce loves sports and exercises 3 hours per day at the gym or through calisthenics. She loves to cook and wants to eventually further her education in nutrition. Throughout her life, Joyce was helped by good people and knows what it means to be needy. She wants to make people believe that they can do anything in life with faith and love.
Mayra Benita Alves Dias is a Brazilian journalist and model who was born on 28th September 1991 in Itacoatiara, a state in Amazonias. Mayra loves to cook traditional Amazonian dishes to keep the culture and cuisine of her hometown alive. She is also deeply involved in defending environmental causes by raising awareness to the issues of deforestation. She wishes to use her platform to advocate for the Amazonia's environmental causes which she believes is an issue that affects the whole world.
Ayana Phillips is pursuing a degree in Business Administration at the H. Lavity Stoutt Community College. Ayana's focus is to help rebuild the British Virgin Islands that was ravished by Hurricane Irma and Maria in 2017. She is passionate about education and intends to own her own marketing firm, which would allow her the opportunity to market the British Virgin Islands and make it stronger. Ayana is looking forward to representing her country at this year's Miss Universe competition.
Gabriela Topalova studies Bulgarian language and literature and hopes to one day become a journalist. Her other dreams include owning a talent agency, specifically modeling and singing. If she wins the crown, she promises to be a role model for all people and prove that a small country, like Bulgaria, has exclusive beauty in itself.
Rern Nat is a part time model and former radio host in Phnom Penh. She keeps herself busy by supporting advocacies that promote education to youth and women empowerment. She also hopes to join the army someday and be able to serve her country and countrymen. Rern is looking forward to representing Cambodia on a global stage at this year's Miss Universe competition.
Caitlin Tyson is a Caymanian model, professionally trained actress, writer and certified yoga instructor who was born in April 10, 1994 and raised in George Town. Well known in the modeling circuit in the Cayman Islands, she's graced many covers and has been featured in publications locally and internationally. Caitlin has an Associates Degree in Literary Studies from the University College of the Cayman Islands and a degree in Acting from her conservatory training at the American Academy of Dramatic Arts in New York City, where she was on the Dean's list. She has workshopped with Tony award winner, Frank Langella, and has graced many runways for various designers including Yumi Katsura Couture for New York Bridal Fashion week and Radmila Lolly at Carnegie Hall. She enjoys meeting new people and learning more about other cultures; Caitlin loves to cook, especially when she can share Caymanian cuisine with all of her international friends. She also loves musical theatre, old Hollywood movies and yoga on the beach. Caitlin has always felt a responsibility to give back to her community, she credits her strength and concern for the community from her roots that are highly influenced by strong Caymanian women. Raised by a single mother and social worker, she has always been drawn to the service of others and strongly believes that it is our duty to improve the quality of the lives of the people around us. She is a proud Caymanian woman and exhibits her 'Caymankind' by becoming a member of Kiwanis, Key Club and Circle K International. During winter Caitlin has prepared and distributed care packages for homeless people on the streets of New York City and volunteers with the Alzheimer's and Dementia Association of the Cayman Islands. She's the most challenging role since graduating this year from the American Academy of Dramatic Arts (AADA) in Manhattan, New York.
Andrea Díaz Nicolás (born October 26, 1991 in Valencia, Venezuela) is an Venezuelan-Chilean model and beauty pageant titleholder who was crowned Miss Universo Chile 2018. She will represent Chile at the Miss Universe 2018 pageant. Díaz was born in Valencia, Venezuela and raised in Santiago. Andrea's mother is from Venezuela and her father is from Chile. She is a social communicator and journalist by profession and can often be seen modeling. She is very dedicated to her family and can often be seen spending time with her family. On 19 August 2018, Díaz was crowned as Miss Universo Chile 2018. She succeeded outgoing Miss Universo Chile 2017 Natividad Leiva. As Miss Universo Chile, Díaz will represent Chile at the Miss Universe 2018 pageant in Bangkok, Thailand. Andrea Diaz is a model who has had the opportunity to work in Panama, Mexico and Costa Rica. Meisu Qin (Chinese: 秦美苏;born January 3, 1994) is a Chinese model and beauty pageant titleholder who was crowned Miss Universe China 2018 and was to compete in the Miss Universe 2018 pageant. Meisu was born in Liaoning province. She pursued Bachelors in Maths at University of Alberta in Edmonton, Alberta, where was very lucky to meet a group of modeling people, she also leaded to start modeling in Canada, Italy and South Korea for prestigious brands. Meisu finished and adjudged the 2nd Runner-up at Miss Universe China 2017 Meanwhile, the official winner was Roxette Qiu crowned as the 2017 winner and competed at Miss Universe 2017 pageant in Las Vegas where she finished in the Top 16 semi-finalist. Meisu was appointed as Miss Universe China 2018, as the pageant concluded on 28th April 2018. Meisu represented her country at the Miss Universe 2018 pageant. Meisu Qin was born and raised in the Northeastern part of China. As a professional model, she has traveled to many ccountry including Milan, Italy. Meisu graduated from the University of Alberta with a degree in Mathematics. With a degree and a dream, she wants to continue to work on becoming one of Asia's top models. Natalia Carvajal Sánchez is a Costa Rican model, TV host, publicist, a literature student and a former contestant of the Costa Rican version of Dancing with the Stars. Natalia was born on September 14, 1990 and began her career in television by singing and dancing for children when she was only 15 years old. Away from the cameras however, her love for nature and conservation has led her to some incredible adventures. She has a passion for diving, camping, surfing, traveling and considers herself a professional backpacker. Natalia is also a writer and has just finished her first book. If elected Miss Universe, she wants to use her communication skills to highlight issues that are vital towards creating a healthier society.
Claudia Vanessa Villars Figueroa (born 1998) is an Honduran model, actress and beauty pageant titleholder who was crowned Miss International Honduras 2017 and Miss Honduras Universe 2018. She represented Honduras in Miss International 2017 pageant in Tokyo, Japan and will also represent Honduras in Miss Universe 2018 pageant in Bangkok, Thailand. Villars joined Miss International Honduras, where she was crowned as Miss International Honduras 2017 and she represented Honduras at Miss International 2017 where she finished among the top 15 semifinalists. Marisela de Montecristo is a proud and confident Salvadoran-American model, Univision television presenter and actress who was born on 25 August 1992 in Olocuilta, La Paz. Marisela had a rough and poor childhood, which led her family to leave El Salvador and settle in Las Vegas, Nevada when she was ten years old. Her mother wanted to provide for her children what she wasn't able to offer them in El Salvador. Overcoming the bullying she suffered at school for her background and language barrier made Marisela stronger, compassionate, and confidently beautiful. Now, Marisela is developing her dream career as a TV personality and building her online magazine about health, fitness, beauty, and fashion. Marisela has her own non-profit 'Demontecristo Foundation' which helps underprivileged families and children with disabilities. At the age of 14, Samantha Colas was involved in the audio-visual's world with a radio show for children. The success of it brought her to a summer tv show for children, the only one in Haiti. As Miss Universe Ireland 2018 she is determined to utilize her platform and her profession as a nurse to help raise awareness, bring more resources to women, and provide more education on women's health issues. Her ultimate goal is to establish a new community standard for modern medicine by opening her own women's health clinic. With both of her parents working in the medical field, she found herself being pulled to pursue a career in that field as well. Besides studying, Rahima also started working for KWF going door to door to raise awareness for cancer studies. This is where she started to become more confident with who she was and started speaking up. After being discovered on the street, Rahima started working as a model, hostess and presenter. One night, she was working at a speak easy in Amsterdam where she happened to be discovered by a family member of the Miss Universe Netherlands organization who advised her on participating. Now she combines working as a Miss with her charity work for Dance 4 Life. As an ambassador, she talks to young boys and girls about speaking up about what they want and talking to people about their insecurities in hopes to strengthen their confidence. In the future, Rahima hopes to be a role model for people who struggle with self-confidence. She also would like to continue her work in charity and as a model. But for the near future, Rahima hopes to make her friends, family and country proud while she represents the Netherlands at this year's competition.

As Miss Ukraine Universe, she had right to represent her country in Miss Universe 2018 where Demi-Leigh Nel-Peters of South Africa will crown her successor at the end of the event. She succeeded outgoing Miss Ukraine Universe 2017 Yana Krasnikova. Her court included Natalia Bolykh (first runner-up), Valeria Ryabchenko (second runner-up), Anna Duritskaya (third runner-up) and Kateryna Semenyachenko (fourth runner-up). From the age of sixteen years old, Karina Zhosan successfully built her acting and modeling career in Asia. In the same time period, she received a higher education in the sphere of hotel-restaurant and tourist business in her country. She studied foreign languages. The last half of her year, Karina devoted most of her time to travel and has visited nearly 15 new countries. During her travels, she launched a charity foundation for orphans kids in Kenya. After receiving the title Miss Universe Ukraine 2018, Karina plans to develop herself in the media industry in her country to help promote charity on the territory of Ukraine.
Aniska Tonge (born 1992) is a Virgin Islander model and beauty pageant titleholder who was crowned Miss Universe US Virgin Islands 2018 and will represent US Virgin Islands at the Miss Universe 2018 pageant. Tonge was born and raised in Saint Thomas, U.S. Virgin Islands. She graduated from the University of North Florida with a Bachelors Degree in Psychology and plans to attend Barry University in Miami for graduate studies. She will pursue a Masters Degree in Psychology with a concentration in Mass Communication because she wants her platform to be her ‘job’. Tonge was crowned Miss Virgin Islands 2012 at then competed and Miss America 2013. Tonge represented the island at the Miss America 2013 in Las Vegas but was unplaced. Tonge was crowned Miss US Paradise World 2014 and then competed at Miss World 2014. Tonge represented the island at Miss World 2014 in London but was unplaced. Tonge was crowned Miss US Virgin Islands 2018 on 11th August 2018. She succeeded outgoing Miss US Virgin Islands 2017 Esonica Veira. Tonge will represent the island at the Miss Universe 2018 in Thailand. Aniska Tonge is a recent graduate of Georgia State University with a Master's of the Arts in Mass Communication, she also works as a Content Transmission Tech. From snorkeling to scuba diving, camping and rock climbing, Aniska is drawn to the outdoors and loves documenting it through her first love of writing. She is actively engaged in her community through her non-profit 4HER and plans to continue advocating for suicide prevention and mental health awareness should she take home the crown.
Sofía Abigaíl Marrero Moreira (born 2000) is a Uruguayan model and beauty pageant titleholder who was crowned Miss Uruguay 2018 and will represent Uruguay at the Miss Universe 2018 pageant in Bangkok, Thailand. Sofía Marrero from Montevideo was crowned as Miss Uruguay 2018 on 28 August 2018. She succeeded outgoing Miss Uruguay 2017, Marisol Acosta. As Miss Uruguay, Marrero will represent Uruguay at Miss Universe 2018 in Bangkok, Thailand. Sofía Abigaíl Marrero has always been interest in fashion; hence, she has participated in many fashion modelling events. Sofía has never given up her dreams, her perseverance and dedication helped her to be awarded as 'Miss Universe Uruguay 2018'. Sofía considers that winning or placing in this year's Miss Universe competition would be an amazing experience. Her country has never been awarded this prize, nor has it classified to the Top 15 positions for more than 20 years. Sthefany Yoharlis Gutiérrez Gutiérrez (born 10 January 1999) is a Venezuelan actress, model and beauty pageant titleholder who was crowned Miss Venezuela 2017. She represented the state of Delta Amacuro at the pageant and will now represent Venezuela at the Miss Universe 2018 competition. Gutiérrez was born in Barcelona, Anzoátegui. She is a law student at Santa María University in Puerto La Cruz. At the end of Miss Venezuela 2017 held on November 9, 2017, Gutiérrez was crowned Miss Venezuela 2017. She will now represent Venezuela in Miss Universe 2018. Gutiérrez succeeded Miss Venezuela 2016 Keysi Sayago and was crowned by her at the final event. Her court included Miss Venezuela World 2018, Veruska Ljubisavljević from Vargas and Miss Venezuela International 2018, Mariem Velazco from Barinas. Sthefany Gutiérrez describes herself as an optimistic, intelligent, capable, and hardworking, thanks to her mother's influence. She grew up surrounded by love from a big family constituted by women, except for her dad and her younger brother. She came from a family of working women who do not set themselves the boundaries to succeed. Sthefany has one year left to graduate as a lawyer in her home country, Venezuela. In the future, she would also like to be a television host and reveals that she loves theater as well.
H'Hen Niê (pronounced [həːhɛnnie] hə-HEN-nee-EH) (born 15 May 1992) is a Vietnamese model and beauty pageant titleholder who won Miss Universe Vietnam 2017. She will represent Vietnam at the Miss Universe 2018. H'Hen was born in Đắk Lắk to Y'Krin Êban and H'Ngơn Niê. She is the third oldest out of 6 children. H'Hen used to work on a coffee farm to assist her family's living when she was young. As per the Rade people's matrilineal customs, Rade women tend to start a family at a young age. However, H'Hen refused to follow this tradition and decided to continue her studying at her own expense. In 8th grade, she started learning Vietnamese language. After graduating from high school, H'Hen studied a year at Nha Trang National Ethnic Community College before moving to Ho Chi Minh City to pursue the Business Finance program at the College of Foreign Economic Relations. She worked as a domestic helper for a year to pay the bills while she was in college. When H'Hen was doing her internship at a bank, she started receiving support to become a model. In 2014, shortly after graduating from college, she was discovered by the Vietnamese designer Đỗ Mạnh Cường at the start of her modelling career. As she gained interest in the industry, she auditioned for season 6 of Vietnam's Next Top Model in 2015 and became a finalist. She ultimately placed 9th in the reality TV competition. H'Hen entered Miss Universe Vietnam in 2017. During her time at Miss Universe Vietnam, she was recognized for her short hair and tanned skin, a contrast to Vietnamese beauty standard. In the finale, H'Hen Niê went on to win the competition, beating out first runner-up Hoàng Thùy and second runner-up Mâu Thị Thanh Thủy. Miss Universe 2008 Dayana Mendoza was a judge at the finale. When asked by a co-judge whom she would pick as the winner, Mendoza chose "the girl with short hair", which was H'Hen. As a Rade person, H'Hen Niê is currently the first and only Miss Universe Vietnam titleholder to be of an ethnic minority. In an interview, she revealed she had almost paid off all of her family's debts thanks to new opportunities after winning the competition. Understanding her roots and past struggles, H'Hen believes education is a key to break out of poverty, she donated 70% of her prize to providing scholarships to students in her old schools after the competition. She hoped her story could inspire young people to overcome their difficulties and continue to pursue education. Under her Miss Universe Vietnam reign, H'Hen rallies for support for the unfortunate, the elderly as well as HIV/AIDS victims. She became a global ambassador for Room to Read in 2018, a non-profit organization focusing on providing resources for girls' education and literacy programs. As an ambassador, she is fundraising to build a new library in Lam Dong and provide scholarships to girls in Asia and Africa so that they could complete secondary education and develop key life skills. She will represent Vietnam at Miss Universe 2018 in Bangkok, Thailand. In the months leading up to the pageant, H'Hen's training and preparation was documented and aired as a YouTube series called Road to Miss Universe 2018. The Miss Universe Vietnam Organization held a contest to find the Vietnamese national costume that H'Hen would wear for the national costume competition at the pageant. Six designs made it to the final round. After a nationwide vote, the top three designs were selected: Bánh Mì (inspired by the Vietnamese sandwich bánh mì), Phố cổ (inspired by the ancient town of Hội An), and Ngũ hổ (inspired by the Vietnamese heroines Trưng sisters). The winning design will be revealed at a later date. Growing up, H'Hen Ni chose to focus on education, which helped positively change a difficult childhood. She has tried her hands in several jobs such as a maid, tutor, leaflet deliverer, and model to help pay for her studies and life in the city. The Miss Universe Vietnam crown is not only the result of her hard effort, but also changed the definition of a beauty queen in Vietnam. If she becomes Miss Universe 2018, H'Hen Nie will use the influence of the title to continue helping disadvantaged children around the world to attend schools, especially in conjunction with organizations to enhance girls' lives in developing countries.
Melba Emmanuelah Shakabozha (born 1995) is a Zambian model from Lusaka. She is a student of Radiology. She is a brand ambassador of Vodafone. She is a Fashion Model. Shakabozha will represent Zambia at the Miss Universe 2018 at the Impact Arena, Bangkok, Thailand on 17 December 2018. Melba Shakabozha is a Radiologist who currently acts as an ambassador for an orphanage school program where she mentors two orphaned girls. Melba hopes her advocacy and title will help provide a higher education to the children in the orphanage. After winning her countries title, Melba took responsibility to look after 82 children with disabilities at Home of Hope. Melba hopes to make her country proud while competing on a global stage at this year's Miss Universe competition.
